CSS Menu 3px Rendering Bug

When this site is visited with IE7 (any build up to Beta 2) some extra "dead" space (3px) appears below each item in the CSS menu. A workaround is to remove the DOCTYPE (forcing IE7 to render in quirks mode), but this messes up other elements on the site. More info is on the report page. All other browsers render it without problems.
