Checkbox slow to react

Changing the status of a checkbox less then a second after it's been changed doesn't change the status again. Try clicking the checkbox twice in rapid succession.

Isn't this just IE trying to capture "accidental" double-clicks? Microsoft has used this throughout their OS for a while now. If you've ever watched an inexperienced person browse the web, they tend to double-click everything, including links.

Yeah, it's related to doubleclicking. Giving the checkbox focus and rapidly pressing the space bar works just fine.

How else do you expect the browser to know if it's a doubleclick except waiting a small amount of time after the first click?
