When you use font-variant: small-caps, Explorer ignores text-transform: uppercase || lowercase.

mouseover on anchor and return value

Permalink | Explorer 5-6 Windows, Explorer 7, Explorer Mac, Mozilla | 0 comments
Reported on 14 December 2005

An event handler for onmouseover an anchor should not show the URL in the status bar when you return false, and it should when you return true, but actually it does exactly the opposite.

Floats and block widths applied in the incorrect order

Permalink | Explorer 5-6 Windows, Explorer 7, Explorer Mac | 2 comments
Reported on 9 December 2005

This bug is caused by IE not calculating position of floats correctly. As far as I can tell the left edge of the content is calculated and then the width is applied, the correct behaviour is to apply the width and then see where the content should be layed out due to any floats.

Buttons lose shape when floated

Permalink | Opera | 1 comments
Reported on 8 December 2005

When a button is floated in Opera, it causes it to lose the image of the button. Only the text remains.

Orphaned bugs - explanation

Permalink | (Orphaned)
Reported on 3 December 2005

I just added the (Orphaned) category, which contains all bug reports that no longer have test pages. I hope a friendly visitor will adopt them by creating a test page for the described bug.

If you create a new test page, leave the URL a comment in the original bug report. If I accept the new test page, you'll get the official credits on the report page.

All in all I'm rather pleased that only 22 out of 186 bug reports (12 %) turn out to be orphaned. In general people who post bug reports here are serious about maintaining them. Good to know.

This site is no longer maintained. I’m sorry, but it’s just too much work for too little return. You can continue to browse old bug reports, though.
